| | 1973 | • | Following the purchase of the Herdade do Esporão estate, Joaquim Bandeira and José Roquette establish Finagra and begin the winemaking project. | | 1974 | • | Herdade do Esporão is nationalised. | | 1984 | • | Finagra produces and sells grapes to the Reguengos Wine Co-operative. | | 1984 - 1986 | • | Finagra produces and sells grapes to the Reguengos Wine Co-operative. | | 1987 | • | Construction of the first winery at Herdade do Esporão with a view to producing and marketing fine wines. | | 1992 | • | José Roquette makes a tender offer for 100% of Finagra shares and becomes its sole shareholder. A new period of expansion of the company begins. |

| 1992 to the present | • | renewal of the existing vineyard, planting of new parcels of vines. | | 1995 | • | Purchase of the Herdade dos Perdigões estate: 200 hectares of high quality vines. | | 1996 | • | Construction of a 120 hectare reservoir at Esporão capable of holding 4,000,000 m3 of water. | | 1997 | • | Acquisition of Spaza (olive oil pressing plant) – Start of the “Herdade do Esporão Virgin Olive Oils” project. Installation of drip irrigation throughout the vineyard. Construction of a building for Wine Tourism. | | 1999 | • | Construction of two warehouses for finished products and a winery. | | 2000 | • | Extension of the red wines vat rooms. | | 2002 | • | Construction of a winery exclusively for white wines. | | 2003 | • | Further increase in fermentation capacity for red wines. Restoration of the Tower of Esporão. | | 2004 | • | Ending of the distribution contract with Allied Domecq. Acquisition of a new filling line with capacity. | | 2005 | • | Acquisition of 30% of the wine and spirits distributor, Prime Drinks. | | 2006 | • | Construction of a new warehouse for finished products with a storage capacity of 5000 m2. |
