Esporão Private Selection White 2005
|
The exceptional conditions of light and the hot sun of Alentejo, together with the humid Atlantic breezes blowing from Northwest, combined with the unique schistous and vulcanic nature of the soil constitute the origin for the outstanding character of the wines from “ESPORÃO” state.
A smooth, full bodied wine resulting from a careful selection of barrel fermented local white grapes varieties, which had 6 months ageing in new oak barrels “sur lie”, with regular stirring.
This process has resulted in a big wine possesing great richness, depth and complexity, with sweet, ripe fruit flavours complimented by spicy, well integrated, toasty oak. | |
